Job Description
The Opportunity:
Gorilla Jobs is seeking General Medicine locum doctors across NSW at multiple levels:
RMO / SRMO with medical ward or acute care experience
General Medicine Registrar / Advanced Trainee
Consultant Physician (FRACP)
Clinical Environment:
Broad exposure to acute and chronic medical presentations
Work across general medical wards, MAUs/AMUs, short stay and outpatient clinics (site dependent)
Opportunities to manage complex comorbidities and multi-system disease
Defined teams with registrar and consultant support in most hospitals
Supervision and teaching opportunities for junior doctors (for senior registrars and consultants)
Experience that supports both training requirements and established General Medicine careers
Eligibility Criteria
AHPRA General or Specialist Registration
NSW Working with Children Check and National Police Check (or willing to obtain)
Australian working rights
Willingness to complete hospital credentialing and onboarding

Hunter New England & Northern NSW – Major regional centres and coastal hospitals with busy medical units and strong physician teams
Central Coast & Western Sydney – High-turnover inpatient services in metropolitan and peri-urban areas with diverse patient populations
Murrumbidgee, Western NSW & Southern NSW – Regional base hospitals and smaller sites where you see a broad mix of general medicine and can follow patients closely
Far West & Nepean Blue Mountains – Outer-metro, regional and remote settings offering hands-on, community-focused medicine and greater clinical autonomy
