If you’re tired of feeling like another number in a large organisation, this is an opportunity to join a growing independent Occupational Therapy provider where your contribution will genuinely be noticed.

The business has recently moved into brand-new premises in Wollongong and is continuing to grow its clinical team.

You’ll work closely with the Director, another Occupational Therapist and expanding allied health support, including an Allied Health Assistant and dedicated administration team.

Your Caseload The caseload is entirely adult and older adult focused, with approximately:

• One-third psychosocial disability and mental health
• One-third ASD, ADHD and cognitive presentations
• One-third physical and neurological presentations

Clients may present with:

• Multiple Sclerosis
• Parkinson’s Disease
• Falls and ageing-related conditions
• Mental health and psychosocial disability
• ASD and ADHD
• Cognitive conditions
• Physical disability

Your work can include:

• Functional Capacity Assessments
• Home modifications
• Assistive technology
• Equipment prescription
• ADL assessments
• Housing assessments
• Falls prevention
• Ramps, rails and bathroom modifications

Most referrals are relatively straightforward, with opportunities to gradually build your exposure to more complex cases.

Less Driving, More Clinical Work: Around 90% of referrals are within the Wollongong and Illawarra region.

Some days may involve multiple appointments, while others may be dedicated primarily to reports.
Flexibility Around Your Day: There is genuine flexibility around where you start and finish your day.

If your first client is close to home, you may be able to complete reports from home before travelling directly to the appointment.
Your week may include:

• Working from the clinic
• Community appointments
• WFH report-writing days
• Starting or finishing from home depending on your diary

Support From Experienced Leadership: The Director brings more than 10 years of Occupational Therapy experience across rehabilitation, disability, neurological, physical and psychosocial presentations.

The team’s approach is centred around compassion, empathy and building a genuine therapeutic relationship with clients, rather than treating people as a referral number.

About You You’ll ideally have:

• AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist
• A current driver’s licence and vehicle
• Full Australian working rights
• Relevant screening checks including NPC, WWCC and NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
