This is an opportunity to work across a genuinely varied adult and older adult community Occupational Therapy caseload without being pushed into paediatric work.

The organisation supports clients across a broad range of presentations, making this particularly appealing for an OT who wants to build strong generalist adult skills.

Your Caseload: Approximately one-third of clients present with:
Psychosocial & Mental Health: Work with adults experiencing psychosocial disability and mental health conditions, with a strong emphasis on understanding their individual circumstances and building long-term therapeutic relationships.

ASD, ADHD & Cognitive Conditions: Support adults with neurodevelopmental and cognitive presentations across daily living, independence and functional capacity.

Physical, Neurological & Aged Care Work with clients experiencing conditions such as:

• Multiple Sclerosis
• Parkinson’s Disease
• Physical disability
• Falls and mobility concerns
• Age-related functional decline

Build Broad Adult OT Skills. Your work will include a mixture of:

• Functional Capacity Assessments
• Home modifications
• Assistive technology
• Equipment prescription
• ADL assessments
• Housing assessments
• Falls prevention
• Ramps and rails
• Bathroom and shower modifications

Most home modification referrals involve the fundamentals such as rails, showers and access modifications, alongside occasional opportunities to work on more complex cases.

A Balanced Week: This isn’t a role where you’re expected to fit endless appointments into every day.

Some days may involve multiple appointments, while another day could largely be dedicated to completing reports.

Work Locally: Around 90% of clients are within Wollongong and the Illawarra, with the majority located within approximately 30 minutes of the base.

You’ll also have flexibility to complete reports from home and travel directly to appointments when appropriate.

About You You’ll ideally bring:

• AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist
• An interest in adult and older adult OT
• Strong report-writing skills
• Driver’s licence and vehicle
• Full Australian working rights
• NPC, WWCC and NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
