This is a great opportunity for an Occupational Therapist who enjoys building strong therapeutic relationships, working towards meaningful client outcomes and being part of a smaller team where quality, compassion and genuine connection matter.

About the Role
The caseload is predominantly adult and older adult clients, with presentations including psychosocial disability, ASD, ADHD, cognitive disability, physical disability, MS, Parkinson’s, aged care-related needs and falls prevention.

The role includes a strong mix of functional assessments, therapy, assistive technology, basic home modifications and report writing. Most home modification work involves the basics, such as ramps, rails and showers, with occasional more complex cases. There is not a huge volume of complex home modifications, making this a suitable role for someone wanting to continue building confidence in this space.

A typical day may include completing reports from home in the morning, attending client appointments close to home or around Wollongong, and then returning to the clinic or continuing documentation depending on the day. Some days may be heavily report-writing focused, while others will involve more face-to-face appointments.

Caseload Breakdown
• Around one-third of psychosocial disability
• Around one-third of ASD, ADHD and cognitive presentations
• Around one-third of physical disabilities, including MS, Parkinson’s, aged care-related needs and falls

Support Available
You will be joining a smaller, values-led team that places a strong emphasis on getting to know both clients and clinicians properly. The Director’s approach is practical and grounded, with a strong focus on therapeutic alliance, compassion and empathy.
The current team includes an experienced Occupational Therapist with over 10 years of experience across rehabilitation, workplace rehabilitation and disability services, and an Occupational Therapist with 2 years of experience. An Allied Health Assistant, creating further support around therapy implementation and service delivery.

Team Culture
The Director places significant importance on therapeutic alliance and believes that strong outcomes come from genuinely understanding each client and what matters to them. This aligns closely with the business’s public approach, which focuses on creative, practical and client-centred therapy that supports real-world independence and quality of life.

This would suit an OT who wants structure, variety and flexibility, while still being part of a team that cares deeply about the people they support.
