Join a growing, specialist adult neuro speech pathology service supporting clients across Sydney through mobile visits, telehealth and work-from-home flexibility Sydney-wide.
The team provides high-quality, client-centred support across a broad range of complex adult presentations, including stroke, brain injury, Parkinson’s disease, MS, dysphagia, aphasia, voice conditions, upper airway conditions, acquired neurological conditions, head and neck cancers, and palliative/end-of-life care.

Salary General Speech Pathologist: $55–$60 per hour + super
Senior Speech Pathologist: $70–$90 per hour + super

About the Role This role is ideal for a Speech Pathologist with experience in adult neurological and complex clinical presentations. The position will involve a mix of mobile community work, telehealth, assessments, therapy, intervention, resource development and report writing.
The caseload is adult-focused, with clients generally ranging from 16 years through to older adults. Presentations may include stroke, traumatic brain injury, Parkinson’s disease, MS, dysphagia, acquired neurological conditions, aphasia, voice conditions, upper airway presentations, complex head and neck cancers, and palliative/end-of-life support.
Referral streams include NDIS, Medicare, private referrals, GP referrals, DVA, Support at Home and Home Care Packages. The current caseload is approximately 60% NDIS and 40% private, with some additional referral streams.
The service covers Sydney-wide, including areas up to Penrith, with current demand across South West Sydney, Western Sydney and the Ryde area.
The role is preferably offered on a contracting basis, with scope for long-term employment for the right person.
Key Responsibilities • Deliver adult neuro speech pathology assessments and therapy
• Support clients with dysphagia, aphasia, dysarthria, voice, cognition and communication needs
• Provide mobile community-based services and telehealth appointments
• Complete reports, therapy plans, interventions and client resources
• Liaise with families, carers, referrers, support coordinators and community nurses
• Support clients across NDIS, private, Medicare, DVA and aged care referral streams
• Contribute to clinical quality and service development where appropriate
• Manage a flexible caseload with strong admin support
Requirements - Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology
- SPA membership or eligibility
- Drive and have a car
- Experience working with adult neurological presentations
- Confidence working with stroke, brain injury, Parkinson’s disease, MS, dysphagia, aphasia and voice conditions
- Ability to work independently and hit the ground running
- Strong communication, initiative and clinical reasoning skills
- Interest in adult neuro, complex presentations and client-centred care
- Full driver’s licence and access to a vehicle
- Willingness to travel for mobile appointments across agreed Sydney regions
Support Available You will receive a tailored onboarding programme across 2–4 full days, including training on policies, procedures, booking systems, caseloads, clinical expectations, admin processes and introductions to the admin team.
The caseload will be built slowly, initially starting with a small number of clients and opportunities for shadowing. The onboarding process is tailored to your skills, experience and confidence level.
Weekly supervision is provided during the first 4 weeks, with ongoing support reduced as appropriate. Caseload reviews are held every 6 weeks to ensure the mix, workload and structure are working well.
