The Opportunity:

We’re seeking a Fellowed GP with Obstetrics experience for a temporary VMO locum position available between June and August 2025. You choose the timing—whether you’re available for full blocks, weekends, or one-off dates, we’re happy to work around you.

• Up to $3,150 per shift (based on experience and scope)
• Fly-in, fly-out options available
• All travel and accommodation covered
• Solo on-site care, covering both ED and obstetrics
• Weekend work and odd-date availability welcome

The Hospital & Clinical Scope:

You’ll work within a Level 3 facility in the Hunter New England region, seeing 35–60 ED presentations per day. The ED includes four beds and an upright assessment chair. You’ll be the sole doctor on-site, with Tamworth Hospital as the primary referral centre for complex care.
Many of our VMOs work across multiple specialties, including Emergency, Obstetrics, and Anaesthetics—your flexibility and clinical confidence will be highly regarded.


Eligibility Requirements:

•  Fellowship with RACGP or ACRRM
•  AHPRA Registration 
•  Full working rights

Accommodation & Lifestyle:

Accommodation is fully covered, with a choice between a self-contained one-bedroom apartment onsite or a stay at a comfortable local motel.
