Job Description
The Opportunity:
Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD) is recruiting Consultants and VMOs to cover key specialties across its hospital network. Current openings include Emergency Medicine, General Medicine, Anaesthetics, and Rural Generalist GP roles.
These roles are ideal for specialists comfortable working in rural or district hospital settings, often with a mix of inpatient, ED, procedural and on-call responsibilities.
Flexible dates and shift structures available throughout 2025. Clinical Settings Include:
District hospitals and rural multipurpose services (MPS)
Mix of inpatient, emergency, procedural and GP-style care
Strong local teams with midwifery, nursing and retrieval support
Suitable for specialists seeking short-term or repeat locums
Eligibility Criteria:
AHPRA Specialist
Fellowship with relevant college (FRACP, FACEM, FANZCA, FRACGP, FACRRM)
Comfortable working independently and supporting junior staff
NSW Working with Children Check and Police Check
