The Opportunity:

A reputable regional hospital in South Australia’s Riverland and Murraylands is seeking a PGY2+ RMO to provide emergency department coverage.
 
You’ll support a high-functioning ED team, handle a diverse case mix, and receive ongoing senior supervision in a collaborative setting.
 
Ideal for junior doctors seeking exposure to acute care in a hospital where your contribution matters.
 
Clinical Environment:

• Manage a broad range of ED presentations, including trauma, paediatrics, mental health, and acute medical cases
• Work within a collaborative ED team, including supportive nursing staff and senior medical oversight
• Develop procedural confidence and autonomy in a setting that balances challenge with mentorship
• Use modern electronic systems, structured triage, and escalation pathways to streamline workflow
• Ideal for RMOs preparing for GP, ACEM, or rural generalist training, or simply seeking valuable emergency experience

 
Eligibility Criteria:

• AHPRA General Registration
• PGY2+ with at least 6 months of Emergency Medicine or acute hospital experience
• Australian working rights 
• Police Check and SA Working with Children Check
• Willingness to complete onboarding and hospital credentialing
