Locum RMO / Registrar / CMO - ED, Medicine, ICU, Anaesthetics + More | Hunter New England LHD | Up to $250/hour
The Opportunity:
Hunter New England LHD is recruiting
PGY2+ RMOs, Registrars, and CMOs to support a variety of specialties across its regional and rural hospitals.
Flexibility for block bookings, ad hoc locums, nights, and weekends. Depending on your level, you may work under consultant supervision or independently during after-hours and on-call rosters.
Clinical Environment – What You’ll Gain: - Exposure to a broad range of presentations across ED, inpatient, procedural, and maternity care
- Varied shift structures including after-hours, solo coverage, and team-based ward work
- Regional hospitals that offer greater autonomy, procedural volume, and responsibility
- Supervision or independent roles depending on location and seniority
- Ideal for doctors pursuing GP, ACEM, BPT, or rural generalist training
- Supportive clinical teams and streamlined escalation protocols
Eligibility Criteria: - AHPRA General Registration
- PGY2+ with recent hospital-based or specialty experience
- NSW Working with Children Check and Police Check
- Australian working rights (citizenship, PR, or appropriate visa)
- Willingness to complete onboarding and hospital credentialing
What’s Provided: - Up to $250/hour, depending on experience and responsibilities
- Travel and accommodation provided for eligible locums
- Full booking, credentialing, and rostering support provided
