Job Description

Gorilla Jobs is seeking O&G Registrars, O&G Consultants and GP Obstetricians (GPOs) for high-paying locum work (up to $3,500+/day, site and level dependent) across NSW and WA, with a strong focus on regional and rural hospitals.

If you enjoy delivery suite, theatre and acute women’s health, and want well-paid blocks with time off in between, these roles are a great option.
You can choose:
  • Short blocks (e.g. 3–7 days)
  • 1–2 week rotations
  • Ongoing or repeating patterns built around your permanent role or other commitments
Our aim is to make your locum experience easy, rewarding and flexible, while you stay in control of where and how you work.

Clinical Environment
  • A mix of obstetrics and gynaecology, with delivery numbers varying by hospital
  • Rostered lists plus on-call and emergency work
  • Team-based environment with midwives, theatre staff and junior doctors where available
  • Clear escalation pathways – at Consultant or GPO lead level, you may be the senior decision-maker on site
You can focus on one region or rotate through different locations over the year, depending on your lifestyle and exam/family plans.

Eligibility
  • O&G Registrars: PGY5+ with recent O&G registrar experience
  • O&G Consultants: FRANZCOG or recognised equivalent
  • GP Obstetricians: AHPRA-registered GPs with DRANZCOG / Advanced (or equivalent) and recent birth suite experience
  • Current AHPRA registration and Australian working rights
  • Comfortable working in regional/rural hospitals with defined support and escalation pathways
  • Willingness to complete NSW/WA health credentialing and compliance
