About the position:

Our client is seeking an experienced Family Lawyer (2+ years PAE) to join their growing team. This is an opportunity to step into a role with real responsibility and trust, managing files from initial instruction through to final resolution across a broad spectrum of family law matters.

You’ll work closely with a Principal who values mentorship and fosters a relaxed, open-door culture. Targets are realistic (around 5 billable hours per day), allowing you to focus on quality over quantity while maintaining a sustainable work-life balance.

The firm provides regular performance reviews and clear advancement pathways, supporting your progression into more senior roles. You’ll enjoy genuine flexibility, exposure to interesting matters, and a steady flow of quality clients.

Your matters will include:

• Parenting disputes and custody arrangements
• Complex property divisions and financial settlements
• Binding Financial Agreements and consent orders
• Divorce proceedings and domestic violence applications
• Managing files independently from start to finish

Key Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years’ PAE in family law (private practice)
• Confident managing files autonomously
• Strong interpersonal and client-facing skills
• Highly organised with great attention to detail
• Must hold full Australian working rights
