About the Position: This role presents an outstanding opportunity for an ambitious Insurance Lawyer or Senior Associate to accelerate their career within a firm that truly values internal development. You’ll work directly with senior Partners on complex public liability and recoveries matters, gaining exposure to strategic legal work and direct client engagement.
From day one, you’ll be part of a clear progression framework tailored to your goals—whether you’re stepping into a leadership position or laying the groundwork to become a Special Counsel or future Partner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a broad portfolio of public liability and recovery claims from end to end
  • Advise clients on liability, indemnity, quantum, and litigation strategy
  • Draft legal documents, settlement deeds, and appear at hearings and mediations
  • Work directly with senior stakeholders, counsel, and industry clients
  • Mentor junior solicitors and clerks as you prepare for future leadership roles
  • Contribute to business development and firm-wide knowledge sharing
Key Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years PAE in insurance, recoveries or commercial litigation
  • Current practising certificate (or eligibility to obtain one in QLD)
  • Demonstrated interest in progressing to senior or leadership roles
  • Strong technical skills in litigation, advisory work, and dispute resolution
  • Proven ability to build relationships with clients and work collaboratively within a team
On Offer:
  • Career Advancement: Transparent pathways from Lawyer to Senior Associate and beyond
  • Mentorship Program: Ongoing Partner support and access to leadership coaching
  • High-Impact Work: Handle meaningful, high-value insurance litigation files
  • Professional Development: CPD support, secondment opportunities, and national collaboration
  • Top-Tier Remuneration: Competitive salary package + performance recognition
  • Flexible Working Model: Maintain work-life balance with hybrid work options
  • Collaborative Culture: Join a high-performing team that invests in your future
