Job Description

Our client is a prominent commercial law firm based in Parramatta and is widely recognised as one of Western Sydney’s leading legal providers. The firm advises a diverse mix of private clients, developers, corporates, councils, and strata managers across a broad spectrum of commercial and property matters.

About the position

Due to growth, our client is seeking an experienced Senior Property Lawyer to lead and expand its property law offering. This is an ideal opportunity for someone ready to step into a visible leadership position and advise on a wide range of property and development matters.

In this role, you will:
  • Lead complex property transactions involving acquisitions, disposals, and due diligence
  • Advise on major commercial, industrial and retail leasing matters, including agreements for lease
  • Work with developers, strata managers, and local councils on subdivision and development issues
  • Draft and negotiate contracts, options, deeds of partition and joint venture agreements
  • Advise on GST, stamp duty and land tax implications of property dealings
  • Assist clients with land division, easements, and property title matters
  • Mentor junior lawyers and contribute to strategic planning and team development

Key Requirements
  • At least 6 years’ post-admission experience in property law
  • Proven experience across commercial transactions, leasing, and developments
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage a full file load with autonomy and confidence
  • An interest in mentoring junior lawyers and building a team
  • Exposure to local government or planning law is advantageous
  • Strong commercial judgement and a client-first mindset
