Job Description

If you’re a down-to-earth psychologist who loves working with kids, teens and adults, this Sutherland Shire role could feel like your professional “home”.

  • 60/40 service fee split with private clients billed at $220 per session
  • Beautiful, modern rooms in Miranda that feel welcoming, not like a sterile clinic
  • Young, energetic, genuinely kind team with strong peer support and collaboration
  • Full admin support – billing, rebates, bookings and enquiries all handled for you
  • Diverse caseload across children, adolescents, adults and families, with scope to shape your niche
  • Opportunities to work with trauma, eating disorders, school and family-based presentations
  • Chance to grow with a modern, expanding, multi-site practice in the Sutherland Shire
This is a private practice built very intentionally to be the opposite of a cold, traditional “doctor’s office”. Led by an experienced Clinical Psychologist, the focus here is on client-centred, relationship-first care in a space that feels safe, human and a little bit sunny. You’ll be joining a vibrant team of psychologists and counsellors who genuinely enjoy each other’s company, share knowledge freely and aren’t afraid to do things in a more modern, accessible way.

Clients range from “tiny little people” through to older adults, and you’ll have the freedom to build a caseload that reflects your strengths and interests. Evidence-based approaches such as CBT, ACT, DBT, MI, play therapy and psychometric assessments are all part of the work, with strong support around more complex areas like trauma, eating disorders and school-based challenges.

With a smooth, well-organised admin backbone and a warm “come as you are” culture, this is a great fit if you want meaningful, growth-filled work without the burnout.

Your Duties will Include
  • Deliver high-quality, evidence-based therapy to children, adolescents, adults and families.
  • Conduct assessments, therapy sessions and reports
  • Collaborate with a supportive, multidisciplinary team while maintaining autonomy over your caseload and therapy style.
  • Work in a modern clinic in the Sutherland Shire.
Requirements/ Skills
  • Experience in private practice or community mental health (or a strong desire to transition into private practice).
  • Experience or strong interest in working with children, adolescents and families, including trauma and eating disorder presentations (preferred but not essential).
  • AHPRA registration as a General or Clinical Psychologist (with no restrictions).
  • Full Australian Work Rights
