Job Description

Our client, a well-respected mental health practice in Brunswick, is seeking a passionate and skilled Psychologist to join their thriving, trauma-informed team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a child and adolescent-focused clinic that has earned a stellar reputation for high-quality care and a warm, welcoming environment.

This role is ideal for a Clinical or Registered Psychologist who is confident, down to earth, and ready to hit the ground running with a strong pipeline of GP referrals and a significant waitlist.

The Role
  • Client Base: Children and adolescents (with some adult clients if desired).
  • Caseload: Approximately 5–6 clients per day.
  • Hours: Start with 2–3 days per week with potential to increase.
  • Referrals: GP referrals only (no NDIS clients).
  • Special Interest Areas: Flexibility to focus on your preferred client presentations.
  • Assessments: Opportunities for cognitive and autism assessments (higher rates for these).
What’s On Offer
  • Full Administrative Support: All bookings and billings are handled by a dedicated admin team.
  • Supervision & Mentoring: Board-approved supervisor on-site. Participate in peer supervision and have the chance to mentor Provisional Psychologists.
  • Creative & Relaxed Environment: Includes an arts and crafts space, adult therapy rooms, fairy garden, kitchen, shared spaces, and even a fish aquarium!
  • Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Work alongside Art Therapists, Group Facilitators, and Speech & OT professionals, with growth plans in place to expand the team further.
  • Modern Facilities: Well-appointed spaces designed to make therapy engaging and comfortable.
  • Income Potential: Earn $140–$160 per session (higher rates for assessments)
About You
  • Fully Registered or Clinical Psychologist (eligibility for Medicare rebates is essential).
  • Child & adolescent experience is highly regarded.
  • Warm, flexible, and enthusiastic personality with a sense of humour.
  • Comfortable working in a vibrant, sometimes noisy environment.
  • Willingness to take on and manage a full caseload efficiently.
  • Open to peer supervision and mentoring junior team members.
  • Availability to commence within the next 6 weeks, ideally in line with the school term.
