About the Position Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Oral Health Therapist (OHT) to join our clients' team on a part-time basis, working Thursday and Friday each week at $70 per hour.

This is an exciting opportunity to develop your orthodontic skills while enjoying a high level of clinical autonomy, ongoing specialist mentorship and a supportive team environment.

Working closely with an experienced Specialist Orthodontist, you will receive ongoing training and virtual clinical guidance while managing your daily responsibilities with confidence and independence.

Your clinical responsibilities will include:

• Supporting orthodontic treatments, including traditional braces and clear aligner therapy.
• Assisting with orthodontic treatment planning, patient reviews and monitoring treatment progress.
• Performing orthodontic procedures within your professional scope of practice.
• Providing preventative dental care, oral hygiene education and tailored patient advice.
• Supporting adolescent and adult patients throughout their orthodontic treatment journeys.
• Working collaboratively with the specialist orthodontic team to deliver outstanding patient outcomes.
• Building strong relationships with patients and ensuring a comfortable, positive clinical experience.

For clinicians interested in maintaining their broader Oral Health Therapy skills, there may also be opportunities to work additional days at nearby general dental practices, including opportunities to provide adult dental care within your scope of practice.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor of Oral Health or an equivalent recognised qualification.
• Current AHPRA registration as an Oral Health Therapist.
• Previous orthodontic experience is wanted.
• A genuine interest in orthodontics and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
• Confidence working independently while accessing specialist support when required.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with patients of all ages.
• A friendly, positive attitude and a collaborative approach to patient care.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high clinical standards.
• Full Australian working rights, as sponsorship is not available.
