The group's principal dentist has built a genuine specialism in cosmetic dentistry and full-arch implant work, and takes an active, hands-on role mentoring the dentists across the group rather than sitting apart from the clinical team. It's a practice that has invested properly in its clinicians: recently upgraded chairs, in-house crown milling and a shared specialist referral network mean no one dentist is left carrying every type of case alone.
About the Position
This is a general dentist opportunity at our client's Mornington Peninsula studio, a boutique three-chair practice, not a principal or ownership role. You'll be stepping into an established position with patients already directed your way, and real room to build your own list from there. Day to day the work is broad general dentistry: exams, restorative work and whatever else comes through the door, with the option to lean into cosmetic, implant or surgical cases if that interests you (not required if it doesn't). When a case needs periodontics, endodontics or another specialist skill set, you can refer within the group rather than losing the patient, and there is a general anaesthetic pathway available for patients who need it.
For a dentist who wants to build skill in cosmetic and full-arch implant work, our client's principal dentist is directly available to mentor and train at the group's sister practice.
Key Requirements
- Current AHPRA registration with the Dental Board of Australia as a dentist, unrestricted
- Minimum 2 years' clinical experience as a practising dentist in Australia or similar
- Australian or recognised overseas dental qualification (overseas-trained dentists welcome, provided registration and qualifications are current)
- A genuine general dentist skill set; interest in cosmetic, implant or surgical dentistry is an advantage, not a requirement
- Available full-time, four days a week on a consistent basis (not suited to a dentist splitting days across multiple practices)
- Current professional indemnity insurance

The studio sits in one of Melbourne's most sought-after bayside pockets on the Mornington Peninsula, close to Mornington's shops and cafes and an easy run from the city. Days are currently four per week with room to extend to a Saturday down the track, and a genuinely immediate start is available for the right person.
