With a strong focus on patient satisfaction, modern dental techniques and teamwork, the practice prides itself on creating a positive experience for both patients and staff.

Due to an immediate staffing requirement, our client is urgently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Dental Assistant to join their friendly team on a full-time basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Dental Assistant with at least 2 years of experience who is looking to further develop their clinical skills, gain exposure to reception duties and enjoy a supportive workplace with a great work-life balance.

About the Position As a Full-Time Dental Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting dentists with day-to-day clinical procedures while ensuring patients feel comfortable and well cared for throughout their appointments.

The position offers a 9-day fortnight, with a roster consisting of a mix of weekdays and one weekend day.

You will assist with a variety of general dentistry procedures, including crowns and root canal treatments (RCTs). Previous implant experience is not required, making this an excellent opportunity for someone keen to build on their existing skills.

Reception experience would be highly regarded, particularly for candidates who are confident assisting with patient enquiries, appointment scheduling and general administrative tasks. However, a positive attitude and willingness to learn are equally important.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:
  • Providing chairside assistance to dentists during a range of dental procedures.
  • Assisting with general dentistry treatments, including examinations, fillings, crowns, root canal treatments, extractions and preventative care.
  • Preparing and maintaining treatment rooms, instruments and dental equipment.
  • Following strict infection control and sterilisation protocols.
  • Supporting patients throughout their dental appointments and delivering excellent customer service.
  • Assisting with reception duties, appointment bookings and patient enquiries when required.
  • Maintaining accurate patient records and assisting with general administrative tasks.
  • Working collaboratively with dentists and other team members to ensure smooth daily operations.
Key Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a Dental Assistant is essential.
  • Previous dental reception experience is highly regarded but not essential.
  • Experience assisting with general dentistry procedures, including crowns and root canal treatments, is advantageous.
  • No previous implant dentistry experience required.
  • Certificate III or IV in Dental Assisting is advantageous but not essential.
  • Availability to work full-time across a 9-day fortnight, including a mix of weekdays and one weekend day.
  • Sound knowledge of infection control procedures and dental sterilisation practices.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • A friendly, caring and professional approach to patient care.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • A positive attitude, reliability and a genuine willingness to learn.
What's On Offer? Our client offers a fantastic opportunity to join a welcoming and experienced dental team where your contributions are valued and professional development is encouraged.

Benefits of this opportunity include:
  • Competitive Hourly Rate: Earn $29–$31 per hour, depending on experience.
  • Full-Time Employment: Enjoy the stability of a full-time position.
  • 9-Day Fortnight: Benefit from a structured roster offering a mix of weekday and weekend shifts.
