Locum General Medicine RMOs, Registrars, CMOs & Consultants | NSW & WA

Job Description

Gorilla Jobs is seeking General Medicine RMOs, Registrars, CMOs and Consultants for locum work across NSW and WA, with a strong focus on regional and rural hospitals (and some metro options).

If you enjoy acute and ward-based medicine, like the idea of flexible blocks, and want to balance work with time off, these roles are a solid fit.

You can choose:
  • Short blocks (e.g. 3-7 days)
  • 1-2 week rotations
  • Ongoing or repeating patterns built around your permanent roster or other commitments
Clinical Environment
Depending on your level and the site, you can expect:
  • Inpatient General Medicine - mixed caseload including complex multi-morbidity, admissions and step-down care
  • Possible exposure to Acute / MAU / short stay units and consults from ED and other specialties
  • Team-based work with other medical staff, nursing and allied health
  • Clear escalation pathways - at CMO/Consultant level you may be the senior decision-maker on the ward or after hours
You can focus on one region or rotate between different locations across the year, depending on your lifestyle, study and family plans.

Eligibility
  • RMOs / SRMOs: AHPRA General Registration with recent hospital experience
  • Registrars: PGY3-5+ with recent General Medicine (or acute care / medical subspecialty) experience at registrar level
  • CMOs / Consultants: Significant post-Fellowship or senior hospital experience; FRACP or equivalent for Consultant posts
  • Current AHPRA registration and Australian working rights
  • Comfortable working in regional/rural hospitals with defined support and escalation pathways
  • Willingness to complete NSW and/or WA Health credentialing and compliance requirements
What's On Offer
  • Competitive locum rates, scaled by level, location and roster
  • Travel and accommodation covered for regional and rural roles
  • Support with credentialing, rosters and logistics so you can focus on the medicine, not the admin
