Clinical Environment

You will provide General Medicine RMO cover in a regional hospital setting within Hunter New England LHD.

The role involves supporting inpatient reviews, completing documentation, assisting with management plans and escalating patient concerns appropriately when required.

You will work alongside medical, nursing and allied health teams in a supportive ward-based environment.

Patient Demographic

You will support a broad General Medicine inpatient mix, including adults, older patients, acute medical admissions, chronic disease presentations, complex comorbidities and patients requiring review, management planning, escalation or ongoing ward-based care.

Key Duties

• Review and manage General Medicine patients
• Support ward-based inpatient care
• Complete clinical documentation and handover
• Assist with management plans and patient flow
• Escalate patient concerns appropriately
• Work collaboratively with nursing, allied health and medical teams

Requirements

• Current AHPRA Registration
• Recent General Medicine experience at RMO level
• Strong communication and clinical documentation skills
• Ability to work safely within scope and escalate appropriately
• Current CV, references and compliance documents as required
