About the Role

A rare opportunity is available for a General Practitioner with a genuine interest in mental health and relationship-based care to join a highly respected veterans' health practice. Due to the departure of a long-standing GP, there is an established patient base ready to be transferred, creating immediate demand from day one.

This is not a high-volume, rushed environment. Consultations are appointment-based, run on time, and centred around building meaningful relationships with patients. The clinic has developed a strong reputation for supporting veterans, many of whom present with PTSD, mental health concerns and complex healthcare needs.

While all suitable applicants will be considered, a male GP may be particularly well received by parts of the existing patient cohort.

• 70% of billings
• Flexible roster of 2 to 4 days per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to veterans and DVA patients
• Support patients with PTSD, mental health and chronic health conditions
• Build long-term therapeutic relationships with patients
• Conduct thorough, patient-centred consultations in a calm environment
• Work collaboratively with nursing and allied health providers

What You’ll Need

• Current AHPRA registration as a Medical Practitioner
• Fellowship with RACGP or ACRRM preferred
• Strong interest in mental health and veterans' health
• Excellent communication, empathy and relationship-building skills
• Commitment to providing high-quality, continuity-based care
