Far West Local Health District is seeking a confident Locum Senior ED Doctor for in-charge Emergency Department cover in remote NSW.

This role suits doctors wanting meaningful senior ED work that can be planned around family, permanent roles, leave, travel or other commitments.

You will provide clinical leadership, supervise where required and manage acute presentations with clear escalation pathways and remote specialist backup.

Clinical Environment

• Senior ED decision-maker role
• Supported by nurses and hospital teams
• Trauma, acute care, rural medicine and procedural work
• Clear escalation pathways and remote specialist advice
• Strong leadership experience without locking into a permanent roster

Requirements

• AHPRA General or Specialist Registration
• PGY5+ with in-charge ED experience, or FACEM / GP VMO
• NSW Working with Children Check and National Police Check
• Australian working rights
• Comfortable with leadership and supervision responsibilities
