Job Description
The Opportunity:
Port Augusta Hospital and Regional Health Service is seeking Emergency Medicine Specialists / FACEMs / VMOs to provide senior clinical coverage and leadership in their Emergency Department.
The hospital plays a central role in rural and remote health care delivery across the Flinders and Upper North region.
Clinical Environment:
Consultant-led team with RMO/Registrar support
Manage emergency cases across adult, paediatric, and procedural presentations
Participate in resus, escalation, and site leadership when rostered in charge
Influence rural health outcomes in a high-need community
Eligibility Criteria:
AHPRA Specialist Registration
Fellowship with ACEM or equivalent
Recent experience in regional or rural ED settings preferred
SA Health credentialing and e-learning required
