The Opportunity:

We are recruiting Resident Medical Officers (RMO) and Senior Resident Medical Officers (SRMO) with ED experience for locum placements across the Hunter New England Local Health District.

Sites range from busy regional referral hospitals to smaller rural facilities.

Settings include:

• Emergency Department shifts (day, evening, and nights)
• Exposure to trauma, critical care, and mixed adult/paediatric presentations
• Rural ED placements offering broad procedural experience

Clinical Environment - What You'll Gain:

• Support from experienced FACEMs, registrars, and multidisciplinary teams
• Opportunities to develop procedural confidence (airway, cannulation, suturing, fracture management, etc.)
• Ideal for doctors building toward Emergency Medicine training or seeking varied regional experience

Eligibility Criteria:

• AHPRA General Registration
• Previous ED experience (preferred)
• NSW Working with Children Check and Police Check
• Australian working rights
• Willingness to complete Hunter New England onboarding and credentialing

• Up to $200/hour, depending on level of experience and rostered shift
• Travel and accommodation for select rural sites

• Flexibility to choose between single shifts or extended blocks
