The Opportunity:
 
Western Sydney Local Health District is urgently seeking a Stage 2 Psychiatry Registrar locum to support the rehabilitation unit at Cumberland Hospital.

You’ll work as part of a multidisciplinary team managing long-stay and complex psychiatric patients, with a structured weekday schedule and participation in the full after-hours roster.

This is a critical locum for registrars seeking metro-based psychiatry work with great team culture, diverse presentations, and consistency.
 
 
Clinical Environment – What You’ll Gain:

• Manage medium to long-stay psychiatric patients in a rehabilitation setting
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including Consultants, Allied Health, and Nursing
• Participate in structured clinical care and discharge planning
• Gain experience managing complex mental health needs with regular supervision
• Contribute to a large metropolitan psychiatry service with a strong training culture

 
Eligibility Criteria:

• General AHPRA Registration
• PGY3+ and currently in Stage 2 psychiatry training (or equivalent experience)
• Willing to participate in after-hours and overnight roster
• NSW Working with Children Check and Police Check
• Australian working rights
• Willing to complete credentialing with Western Sydney LHD
