The Opportunity:

A well-established regional hospital in South Australia is seeking Consultants (FRANZCOG) and experienced GP Obstetricians (GPOs) for ongoing ad hoc locum shifts.
 
You'll be the primary O&G provider for a range of cases including antenatal, birthing, and emergency gynaecological presentations. These are solo or on-call roles with strong midwifery and hospital support.
 
This opportunity is ideal for confident practitioners seeking occasional shifts in a rewarding rural setting without committing to long-term blocks.
 
Clinical Environment:

• Manage labour ward, antenatal clinics, postnatal care, and surgical gynaecology
• Provide support for emergency cases including Caesarean sections, D&Cs, and urgent presentations
• Work with experienced midwives and rural hospital teams in a collaborative environment
• Deliver care with clinical independence while supported by escalation pathways and theatre resources
• Ideal for O&G specialists or GPOs confident in procedural and acute care in a rural setting

Eligibility Criteria:

• AHPRA General or Specialist Registration
• FRANZCOG or DRANZCOG Advanced
• ALS and neonatal resuscitation skills desirable
• Australian working rights
• Willingness to complete onboarding and credentialing
