Our client is seeking a confident and experienced Senior Commercial Lawyer to join their growing team, with a strong focus on franchising, retail and commercial leasing, business transactions, and intellectual property matters. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys direct client engagement, and is ready to take on leadership responsibilities.

You’ll handle a wide range of matters including: - Drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, franchise agreements, leasing documentation, and business sale contracts
- Advising clients on franchise system compliance and regulatory obligations
- Managing retail and commercial leasing transactions across multiple sectors
- Supporting IP-related matters including licensing and brand protection
- Mentoring and supervising junior lawyers in the commercial team
- Working directly with clients, including navigating challenging discussions with professionalism
Key Requirements: - Minimum 5 years’ post-admission experience in commercial law
- Strong expertise in franchising, leasing, business sales, and IP matters
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Confident managing clients directly and handling complex conversations
- High attention to detail and commercial awareness
- Experience mentoring or supervising junior legal staff
- Current Australian practising certificate
