Our exclusive client is a trusted boutique firm based in Bella Vista, providing clear, compassionate legal services to individuals and families across Sydney and the Blue Mountains. Led by a Managing Director and supported by experienced Consultants, the firm has built a strong reputation for dedication, personal service, and real results.
The firm's litigation and dispute resolution practice spans civil, commercial, personal injury, employment, criminal defence, and family law. They are now looking for a skilled Family Lawyer to join their growing team and take ownership of a varied family law caseload.
About the Role
As a Family Lawyer, you will manage your own files from initial consultation through to resolution, with support from senior practitioners. Your day-to-day will include:
- Managing a diverse caseload of family law matters, including parenting disputes, property settlements, divorce, spousal maintenance, and child support
- Advising clients on their rights and options with clarity and empathy
- Drafting applications, affidavits, financial agreements, consent orders, and court documents
- Appearing in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia
- Attending mediations, conciliation conferences, and negotiations
- Building strong client relationships and contributing to the growth of the family law practice
- Collaborating with the wider team across litigation and commercial matters where appropriate

About You - 3+ years post-admission experience in family law (essential)
- Current NSW Practising Certificate
- Full time availability
- Demonstrated experience managing family law files end-to-end
- Strong advocacy skills with experience in court appearances and mediations
- Excellent drafting and legal research abilities
- A genuine interest in helping people through difficult personal circumstances
- Sound judgement, attention to detail, and strong time management
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
