About the position:
Our client is seeking a dedicated
Workers Compensation Lawyer (up to Associate level) to join their established Perth office. Working within a fast-paced, high-volume practice, this role provides the opportunity to work closely with highly regarded Partners and senior legal professionals.
You will manage a diverse and engaging caseload of statutory workers compensation files, including claims involving psychological injury, industrial deafness, and complex physical injuries. You'll also have the chance to brief counsel and attend mediations, conciliations, and hearings while honing your advocacy and advisory skills.
This is an exceptional opportunity to become an integral part of one of Western Australia’s most respected insurance teams, widely recognised for their industry-leading expertise and client outcomes.
Key Responsibilities: - Drafting correspondence and comprehensive legal advice
- Preparing court documents for litigated matters
- Assisting with and managing hearings, mediations, and conferences
- Briefing Counsel and preparing matters for trial
- Direct client engagement and relationship management
- Running files with increasing autonomy under the guidance of senior staff
Key Requirements: - Admitted to practice in Western Australia
- 3+ years PAE in workers compensation or insurance law (preferred)
- High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple matters and meet deadlines
- Proficient with paperless practice management systems
