About the Position:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Workers Compensation Lawyer (Lawyer to Associate level) to join our client’s highly respected Perth-based insurance team.

This role offers the chance to manage your own files from inception to resolution, with access to a wide range of statutory workers compensation matters. You’ll regularly handle claims involving psychological injuries, pre-existing conditions, musculoskeletal and occupational diseases, and more.

You'll work closely with senior lawyers and Partners recognised for their legal excellence and practical leadership. Expect a mix of litigation and advisory work, regular interaction with insurer clients, and the opportunity to build your advocacy experience through mediations, conciliations, and court appearances.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage end-to-end workers compensation matters
  • Draft legal advice, pleadings, and litigation documents
  • Prepare for and attend mediations, conferences, and hearings
  • Liaise directly with clients, Counsel, and insurers
  • Contribute to strategic decision-making and negotiations
  • Maintain detailed and organised electronic file records
Key Requirements:
  • Admitted in Western Australia
  • Minimum 2-4 years’ PAE in insurance or workers compensation law
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Confidence managing multiple matters in a high-volume practice
  • Detail-oriented with a pragmatic approach to problem solving
  • Comfortable working in a digital, paperless environment
