Litigation Lawyer | 2-8 PAE | Mid-Tier Firm, Gold Coast

This role offers what a lot of mid-level litigators go looking for and rarely find in one place: genuinely good files, real autonomy to run them, and senior lawyers who actually make time to mentor you toward the next step. You'll join our client's national mid-tier disputes team, working across commercial, property, strata, construction, insolvency and insurance litigation, based on the Gold Coast or in Brisbane.

About the role!

The caseload runs across QLD and Federal jurisdictions: commercial disputes, property and strata matters, building and construction disputes, debt recovery, insolvency-related litigation and insurance claims work.

• Run files end to end or close to it, from pleadings and evidence through to submissions and settlement.
• Appear at mediations, settlement conferences and QCAT hearings, building real advocacy experience rather than just watching from the back row.
• Advise on strategy and alternative dispute resolution, not just execute instructions handed down.
• Pick up regulatory disputes connected to the practice's construction and property work.

What you'll bring!

• 2 to 8 years PAE in litigation, with a solid grasp of court practice and procedure.
• Admission to practise in Queensland (or eligibility via mutual recognition) and a current practising certificate.
• The confidence to manage a file with minimal oversight, backed by strong drafting and genuine attention to detail.
• A client-first approach and the commercial judgement to know when to push a matter and when to settle it.
• Prior exposure to commercial, property or construction disputes highly regarded.
