About the position:   

Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Associate or Special Counsel with 7+ years PQE to join their Sydney Property team. This is a unique opportunity to lead and manage complex commercial buy/sell matters for institutional clients, with a secondary focus on landlord leasing work.
  • Act on acquisitions, disposals, and related matters for office, industrial, and retail assets.
  • Draft, negotiate, and review contracts for sale, due diligence reports, and commercial leasing documents.
  • Manage stakeholder engagement with clients, agents, and financiers.
  • Supervise and mentor junior lawyers on leasing matters.
  • Maintain regulatory compliance and oversee risk management in all transactional activities.

Key Requirements:   
  • Minimum 7+ years post-admission experience in property law, ideally from a mid or top-tier firm.
  • Demonstrated experience handling complex property transactions independently.
  • Proven ability to supervise and mentor a team (highly regarded).
  • Exceptional attention to detail, commercial acumen, and client service skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Proactive mindset and collaborative approach to teamwork.
