The practice runs a genuinely varied caseload with a strong community focus, and offers CT locums the chance to work solo on a well-maintained, modern imaging suite rather than being just another set of hands in a high-volume metro department.

About the Position

This is a locum CT position based in the regional Victorian town of Echuca, covering an upcoming gap in the roster from Monday 14 September, with a preference for an 8 week placement or longer. Hours are business hours only, 8.30am to 5pm, with no on-call requirement, so you can properly switch off outside your shift. Expect an average of around 15 scans a day, with interventional work on three days of the week, giving the role genuine variety rather than routine throughput. You will be largely working solo on the Siemens GoTop CT scanner, so confidence and independence on this platform is essential, though a Medical Imaging Assistant is available for support and cannulation experience is a must given the interventional caseload.

Key Requirements

• Registration with AHPRA under the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia, current and unrestricted
• Demonstrated experience operating a Siemens GoTop CT scanner, able to work independently
• Confident cannulation skills, given the interventional component of the role
• Comfortable working solo with remote support from a Medical Imaging Assistant
• Full driver's licence and access to a car, as no vehicle is provided on site

Echuca is a popular Murray River town in northern Victoria, around two and a half hours from Melbourne, known for its paddle-steamer heritage, riverside dining and relaxed lifestyle. For a locum based in Melbourne, it is a genuinely appealing change of scenery for the length of the assignment, with a full calendar of local cafes, wineries and river activities to enjoy outside your working hours. Our client does not have a vehicle available on site, so a full driver's licence and access to your own car is required. Accommodation is arranged within an easy 20 minute walk of the practice.
