An established and highly regarded allied health provider in the Newcastle and Hunter Region is looking for an
Occupational Therapy Team Leader to join its growing adult services team.
This opportunity would suit either an
experienced Team Leader or a
Senior Occupational Therapist with strong clinical knowledge who is ready to take the next step into leadership.

The Role: This is a hands-on leadership position combining clinical practice, mentoring and team support.
You’ll oversee a small team of Occupational Therapists while continuing to manage your own clinical caseload, giving you the opportunity to stay connected to clients while developing your leadership capability.
You’ll work collaboratively with three other senior clinicians, giving you experienced peers to liaise with.
Your Adult Caseload: The organisation works with adults across a range of funding streams including
NDIS, iCare, CTP, Workers Compensation, Medicare and private clients.
Depending on your experience and interests, your work may include:
- Functional and Initial Needs Assessments
- Activities of Daily Living assessments
- Supported Independent Living assessments
- Home modifications
- Assistive Technology and complex equipment prescription
- Wheelchair and seating assessments
- Cognitive assessments and rehabilitation
- Care needs assessments
- Manual handling
- Community access and independent living support
- Working with clients with complex physical, neurological and functional presentations
Services are delivered across the
Newcastle and Hunter Region, including a mixture of clinic, home and community-based appointments.
About You: You’ll be an AHPRA-registered Occupational Therapist with strong experience working with an adult caseload. Relevant skill set, have a car and are able to drive.
You may already be working as a
Team Leader, Senior Occupational Therapist or Clinical Lead, or you may be an experienced clinician looking for the opportunity to step into formal leadership.

- Strong adult Occupational Therapy clinical knowledge
- Confidence supporting and mentoring other clinicians
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- The ability to balance clinical work with leadership responsibilities
- A collaborative leadership style
- Genuine interest in helping clinicians develop their confidence and capability
