Job Description

Are you a Clinical Psychologist looking to join an experienced team of clinicians in a specialised private practice on a part-time basis?

Our client is looking to add another Psychologist to their multidisciplinary team in the heart of Melbourne, providing in-person care to clients predominantly presenting with disordered eating. The clinic has been open since 2012 and has an excellent reputation with both professionals and clients.

  • Flexible Remuneration: Choose between the peace of mind from a salaried position, or the independence of a contractor role. Take home up to $115k + Super FTE or $140 per session on a contracting basis.
  • Working Environment: See clients in one of six spacious therapy rooms, in a prime location with beautiful green spaces and transport links nearby.
  • On-site Admin Team: Feel supported by a dedicated on-site admin and reception team who will take care of intake, allocation, billing, rescheduling, and some Medicare administrative tasks.
  • Multidisciplinary Team: Be part of an experienced team comprising of Dietitians and Psychologists with a client centred approach
  • Professional Development: Professional supervision is provided to salaried employees as standard, and the practice strives for continued professional development and excellence.
  • Caseload: Clientele is predominantly made up of Eating Disorders, Chronic Illness, Chronic Pain and Common Mental Health Presentations, however clinicians are free to tailor their caseload to their preferences.
About the Role:
  • Referrals from GPs, ED Clinics and other Allied Health Professionals; no bulk billing
  • Utilising a combination of evidence-based modalities to individualise therapy and treatment and promote best outcomes
  • Looking for somebody 3-4 days per week
  • 50 min - 1hr Sessions
  • Keeping detailed case notes, and maintaining confidential and ethical file management
  • Separate group room for writing up session notes to promote collaborative work
Requirements/Skills:
  • Tertiary Psychology qualification
  • Able to provide ongoing face to face therapies to clients across the lifespan with a range of common mental health presentations and disordered eating
  • Proven experience with Disordered Eating and other common presentations
  • 2+ years of post-registration clinical experience
  • AHPRA registration
  • Unrestricted Australian Working Rights
