The Opportunity:

Hunter New England Local Health District is seeking an experienced CMO In-Charge to provide locum coverage in the Emergency Department.

This is an excellent opportunity for senior CMOs confident in managing emergency presentations and leading clinical teams in a regional hospital setting.

You'll oversee patient flow, provide hands-on care for acute cases, and support junior doctors within a well-structured and collaborative ED.

Clinical Environment:

• Responsibility for overseeing Emergency Department operations during your shift
• Manage a broad range of emergency presentations - trauma, medical, paediatric, and procedural
• Work with a supportive team of nurses, registrars, and allied health professionals
• Opportunities to enhance leadership, teaching, and advanced clinical decision-making skills

Eligibility Criteria:

• Current AHPRA Registration (General or Specialist)
• Advanced Life Support (ALS2) certification
• Australian working rights
• Willingness to complete local credentialing and onboarding

What's Provided:

• Up to $300 p/hr, depending on experience
