Job Description

The Opportunity:

Hunter New England LHD is seeking a confident and experienced Registrar – In Charge to support Emergency Department operations across regional hospital sites. You’ll manage acute presentations, oversee junior staff, and liaise with consultants and retrieval services where needed.
 
This is an ideal opportunity for ED Registrars ready to lead shifts, with support available and full locum benefits provided.
 
Clinical Responsibilities:
  • Lead the ED team during rostered shifts
  • Triage oversight, clinical decision-making and escalation
  • Supervise JMOs, liaise with inpatient teams, and coordinate critical care
  • Participate in resus, trauma calls and procedural work
 
Eligibility Criteria:
  • AHPRA General Registration
  • PGY4+ with Emergency Medicine experience
  • NSW Working with Children Check and Police Check
  • Willingness to complete e-learning and credentialing
