The Opportunity:
 
Hunter New England Local Health District is seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist (FRANZCP or equivalent) to join their adult mental health service.

You’ll provide comprehensive psychiatric assessment, treatment planning, and case review within a multidisciplinary team, working across inpatient and/or community settings depending on the site.

This is a Monday-to-Friday role with no after-hours or on-call, ideal for psychiatrists seeking well-paid, structured locum work in a regional setting.
 
Clinical Environment – What You’ll Gain:

Eligibility Criteria:

• AHPRA Specialist Registration
• Fellowship of RANZCP (or equivalent)
• NSW Working with Children Check and Police Check
• Australian working rights
• Willingness to complete HNELHD onboarding and credentialing

 
What’s Provided:

• $3,000/day for Monday–Friday shifts (8:30 am to 5:00 pm)
• Full travel, accommodation, and car hire (or allowance) included
• Full support with credentialing, scheduling, and administration
