Gorilla Jobs is seeking an experienced GP VMO / Senior GP for Urgent Care / Fast Track locum blocks in Inverell, within Hunter New England Local Health District.

This is a great option if you enjoy acute, ED-style work and like the idea of structured week-long blocks in a supportive regional setting.

• $1,700 per day
• Monday–Sunday blocks - Service is open to one week on, one week off, or regular one-week blocks (e.g. one week a month)
• Accommodation provided
• Travel covered

The Role:

You’ll be working in an urgent care / fast track environment, managing a broad mix of acute presentations and minor emergencies.

• Full Mon–Sun block each time you attend
• If on-call for more than 7 days, a mandatory rest day is built in for fatigue management

There are additional GP VMO urgent care / fast track blocks across Hunter New England, so once you’ve tried a week, you can lock in further blocks if it suits.

Location – Inverell, “Sapphire City” Inverell is known for its sapphires, gemstones and historic buildings, with:

• Fossicking and local sapphire shops
• Nearby national parks and outdoor activities
• A welcoming regional community

It’s within driving distance of Tamworth and Armidale, so you have access to larger centres as needed.

Eligibility:

• Specialist Registration in General Practice (FRACGP/FACRRM or equivalent) preferred
• Experienced non-VR GPs with strong ED/urgent care background may be considered, subject to credentialing
• AHPRA registration and Australian working rights
• Willingness to complete NSW Health credentialing and mandatory training
