Specialist commercial disputes and insolvency litigation firm with blue chip clients, big firm work and a genuine boutique culture.

About our client:

Our client is a specialist commercial disputes and insolvency litigation firm acting nationally for corporates, insurers, financial institutions, trade credit businesses and insolvency practitioners, including a number of listed and multinational names. It combines big firm technical depth with a boutique, client centric and fee transparent approach, offering genuine exposure to complex commercial litigation, debt recovery, restructuring and insolvency work.

The Position:

As a Commercial Disputes Lawyer with 5 or more years' post admission experience, you will run a broad mix of commercial litigation matters, from disputes you manage yourself through to complex, strategically driven litigation, working closely with senior practitioners.

Your work will include:
  • Running matters through to trial across all jurisdictions
  • Appearing at mediations and settlement conferences, and undertaking advocacy
  • Conducting voidable transaction proceedings and providing insolvency law advice
  • Handling contract disputes and insolvency litigation with real file ownership
  • Delivering practical, outcome focused advice across multiple industries and jurisdictions Requirements
  • 5 or more years' post admission experience, with at least 2 years in commercial litigation
  • Established drafting, procedural and technical skills, particularly in contract disputes and insolvency litigation
  • Current practising certificate and admission in Queensland, or eligibility to transfer
  • A self motivated, driven approach with strong relationship building skills
  • A desire for progression and promotion to associate and beyond
