Senior Associate – Commercial Litigation Lawyer 

Salary Package: Salary depends on experience level, however, for the right candidate the salary band is between $130,000 to $180,000 plus bonuses after achieving billing targets.

Our client is a well-established commercial law firm approaching three decades in the market, acting for business owners and commercial clients across a genuinely diverse client base. The firm operates two practice groups — Front-end Commercial and Commercial Litigation — from a Sunshine Coast base with additional offices in Brisbane, Sydney and  Melbourne. Almost 30 years of steady growth and a multi-office footprint make this a genuinely stable platform in a market where that's increasingly rare.

About the Role:

Our client is seeking a Senior Associate (5-10 years PAE, flexible for the right candidate) to join a lean, well-established Commercial Litigation team working directly alongside a Director and a Special Counsel with over three decades of experience — not buried in a large, anonymous department. You'll pick up a genuine mix of advisory and litigation work for business owners and commercial clients, not a courtroom-every-day litigation seat, with matters that draw on the firm's Sunshine Coast, Brisbane and Sydney offices. As the practice continues to grow, there's real scope to build client relationships, take on billing responsibility and progress toward a genuine partnership pathway.

What you Need:

• 5-10 years' post-admission experience in commercial litigation/disputes (private practice experience is needed)
• Strong technical drafting and advisory skills across commercial dispute matters
• Comfortable managing an active file load and taking ownership of client relationships
• A collaborative team player who values working closely with senior lawyers rather than in a large department
• Current admission to practice in Queensland (or eligible for admission)
• Good attitude and interest in joining an expanding firm
