About the position:

Our client is seeking a motivated Solicitor (3+ years PAE) to join their growing Construction and Infrastructure team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-value infrastructure and development matters across Australia, including government tenders, regulatory compliance, contract advisory, and dispute resolution.

In this role, you'll be exposed to a diverse client base, including tier-one contractors, developers, and public sector bodies. From advising on major construction contracts to representing clients in adjudications, mediations, and court proceedings, you'll work closely with experienced Partners and senior lawyers on some of the most significant infrastructure work happening in the country.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide advice on construction and infrastructure contracts, procurement, and regulatory frameworks
  • Draft and negotiate major agreements including EPC, D&C, consultancy, and maintenance contracts
  • Manage dispute resolution processes including mediation, arbitration, and litigation
  • Stay informed on industry legislation and contribute to internal precedent and knowledge systems
  • Build strong client relationships through consistent, strategic legal counsel
Key Requirements:
  • 3+ years PAE with a focus on construction law or major projects
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills
  • Sound understanding of construction legislation and common law principles
  • Prior experience with front-end and/or back-end construction matters
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
