About the position:

An outstanding opportunity has become available for an experienced Family Lawyer to join our client’s Maroochydore-based team, with the flexibility to work from their Brisbane CBD office as needed.

This role is ideal for a solicitor who is passionate about family law and looking for genuine career progression. You will manage a varied caseload of parenting disputes, property settlements, divorce, and domestic violence matters—receiving mentorship and support from senior practitioners to further develop your expertise.

You’ll also benefit from being part of a tight-knit and family-friendly team that values quality legal work and work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a full family law file load, including parenting, property, divorce, and DV matters
• Represent clients in both State and Federal Courts
• Conduct file preparation, attend directions hearings and mediations
• Liaise with clients, experts, and other stakeholders
• Provide strategic and empathetic legal advice with a strong client focus

Key Requirements:

• A minimum of 2 years’ PAE in Family Law (private practice)
• Current Queensland Practising Certificate
• Strong advocacy skills and confidence appearing in court
• Valid driver’s licence for travel between offices
• Excellent communication, drafting, and negotiation abilities
• Ability to manage multiple files independently and efficiently
• A proactive mindset with a commitment to achieving positive client outcomes
