About the role Our client is a specialist boutique employment law practice in Sydney CBD acting exclusively for employees, executives and individuals. With a sole principal at the helm and a reputation for high-quality applicant-side work, this is a practice built around outcomes for the people who need them most.
This role is well suited to an Employment Lawyer who wants substance over structure, direct client contact from the outset, and a genuine commitment to developing their skills with a principal who is invested in their growth.
The position - Advise employees and executives on unfair dismissal, general protections, adverse action, anti-discrimination and contractual disputes
- Draft correspondence, submissions and documents for Fair Work Commission and Federal Court proceedings
- Assist with anti-discrimination matters and workplace investigations
- Review and advise on employment contracts, restraint clauses and redundancy entitlements
- Appear in conferences and directions hearings as your experience develops
- Build direct client relationships with individuals navigating complex and often difficult career situations
Requirements - 1-3 years PAE, ideally with some employment law exposure
- Genuine interest in applicant-side employment law and a long-term commitment to the area
- Strong drafting ability and clear written communication
- NSW practising certificate in good standing
- Applicant-side experience preferred but not essential -- the right mindset and interest will count
- Ambition to build a practice, not just fill a role
