Litigation Lawyer | Sydney CBD | $130K-$160K ex super (est.) | Commercial litigation & insolvency | Government and corporate client base.
Our client is a well-established Sydney CBD law firm with more than 40 years' experience advising government, corporate and industry clients across commercial litigation, insolvency and dispute resolution.
Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Litigation Lawyer with Minimum 3–4 years' post-admission experience to join their Commercial Litigation and Insolvency team.
Salary and features of the position: - $130,000–$160,000 + super (salary guide only, dependent on experience)

The Firm: Established in the early 1980s, this is a well-regarded, mid-sized Sydney CBD firm with a national presence, including offices in Melbourne and Brisbane. The firm acts for government, corporate and private clients across commercial litigation, insolvency and dispute resolution, taking on everything from routine debt recovery to complex, high-value disputes. Known for its practical, commercially-minded approach, the firm has built a strong reputation over four decades for developing its litigators through genuine file carriage and hands-on court experience.
About the Role You'll manage a varied commercial litigation and insolvency caseload, acting for government, corporate and industry clients across a broad range of disputes. You'll have responsibility for your own matters while collaborating with senior lawyers and directors on larger, high-value litigation.
Your work will include:
- Managing commercial litigation matters from commencement through to resolution
- Corporate and personal insolvency matters, including recovery proceedings
- Court and tribunal appearances, interlocutory applications and advocacy
- Drafting pleadings, affidavits, correspondence and legal advice
- Managing client relationships and providing commercially focused advice
- Supporting directors and senior litigators on complex, high-value disputes
What You'll Bring - Approximately 3–4 years' + post-admission experience in commercial litigation
- Admission as an Australian Lawyer with a current unrestricted practising certificate
- Insolvency and restructuring experience will be highly regarded
- Strong drafting, advocacy and case management skills
- Confidence managing files and appearing before courts and tribunals
- Excellent communication and client relationship management skills
- Sound commercial judgement and strong attention to detail
- Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a collaborative team environment
