Our client is an award-winning, Sydney CBD boutique firm specialising exclusively in real estate, hotels and construction. Acting for fund managers, developers, hotel owners and operators, and government clients, the firm has built a reputation for commercially pragmatic advice across the full property lifecycle — from acquisitions and leasing through to development and disputes.

Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Real Estate Lawyer with approximately 5 years' + post-qualification experience to join their team. This is a genuine opportunity to take carriage of files and build client relationships from the outset, in a firm that rewards contribution and outcomes rather than years of PQE alone.

About the Role

You'll run a broad caseload of commercial real estate matters, working closely with fund managers, developers, hotel operators and government clients. You'll take on increasing responsibility for files and relationships as part of a close-knit, collaborative team.
Your work will include:

• Acquisitions and disposals across commercial and industrial real estate
• Leasing transactions and related documentation
• Development project advice and documentation
• Hotel acquisition, management and operational matters
• Client relationship management and day-to-day advisory work
• Mentoring and supervising junior lawyers as your seniority grows

What You'll Bring

• Approximately 5  years' + PQE in commercial real estate or property law
• Solid transactional experience — acquisitions, disposals, leasing and development documentation
• Strong drafting, negotiation and transaction management skills, with sound risk awareness
• Confidence working autonomously and within a broader team on larger matters
• A client-first, service-oriented approach
• Hotel or construction-related property experience (advantageous, not essential)
• A genuine interest in mentoring junior lawyers and contributing to an inclusive team culture
