Salary: $150,000 to $200,000 DOE

Our client is a distinguished law firm celebrated for its strength in commercial litigation. With a primary office in Brisbane and a growing presence on the Gold Coast, this firm offers a vibrant and supportive environment that fosters professional growth. The litigation team is led by a Partner who is an Accredited Specialist in Commercial Litigation, supported by a dedicated junior lawyer.

About the Role:

Our client seeks an experienced Litigator to join their ranks at the Senior Associate to Special Counsel level. The role encompasses a broad spectrum of commercial litigation, including:

• Insolvency and Bankruptcy
• Corporate disputes
• Building & Construction (QBCC), for both builders and homeowners
• Defamation
• Contractual and partnership disputes
• Body Corporate disputes
• Insurance disputes
• Employment disputes
• Wills & Estates litigation

There is also potential, though not mandatory, to engage in personal injury cases such as motor accidents, work cover, public liability, historical abuse, and TPD claims.

Responsibilities include drafting legal documents, initiating court proceedings, and representing clients in court and QCAT. You will work with a diverse clientele, from individual clients to large businesses, including ASX-listed companies and high-net-worth individuals.

Key Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years PAE in commercial litigation (private practice only)
• Proficient in managing a high-volume caseload independently
• Strong drafting and courtroom skills
• Broad experience in various litigation matters
• Willingness to work from Brisbane or Gold Coast, with a focus on expanding the Gold Coast litigation practice
• Ability to work autonomously
• Valid Queensland practising certificate
