Our client is a highly respected national commercial law firm, known for its deep sector experience, major institutional clients, and commitment to excellence across every practice area. About the position: Our client is looking for a skilled Senior Associate to join their dynamic Sydney property team. You will work closely with market-leading partners and be exposed to major real estate portfolios involving:
- Drafting and negotiating agreements for lease, subleases and bespoke leasing arrangements
- Complex commercial office and retail leasing across Australia’s major cities
- Capital transactions, including property acquisitions, disposals and title structuring
- Property due diligence and reporting for major institutional investors
- (Optional) Exposure to renewable energy property transactions
This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of files, work closely with major REITs, and collaborate on some of Australia’s most sophisticated real estate matters. The team works in a hybrid model and supports work-life balance while maintaining a high standard of client service.
Key Requirements: - At least 4 years' PAE in property law
- Current Senior Associate in a busy property practice
- Proven ability to independently run matters from start to finish
- Strong commercial leasing and transaction experience
- Excellent drafting and negotiation skills
- Confident communicator with client-facing capability
- Ability to mentor and support junior lawyers and paralegals
- Experience in renewable energy property work is advantageous but not essential
