About the position:
Our client is looking for a Property Lawyer (1–3 PQE) to join our clients' team in a busy and expanding property practice. This role suits a lawyer who enjoys taking ownership, building client relationships, and developing their technical skills in a supportive environment.
You’ll work closely with a highly engaged Partner and be involved in a strong pipeline of property matters, including:
- Commercial and industrial sales and acquisitions (including due diligence and transaction support)
- Commercial and retail leasing (acting for landlords and tenants)
- Property development matters (including development documents and project support)
- Off-the-plan sales and purchases
- Put and call options, nominations and related agreements
- Strata and complex property dealings
- Transactions involving hospitality assets
- Exposure to construction contracts and property-related finance matters, where relevant
You’ll also collaborate with other teams on property aspects of broader commercial matters, giving you variety and a wider skill set.
Key Requirements: - 1–3 years’ PQE experience in commercial property (or a mixed property practice with solid commercial exposure)
- Confidence across commercial acquisitions/disposals and leasing
- Exposure to development work (or a genuine interest in building capability in this area)
- Strong drafting skills, attention to detail and sound file management
- A practical, commercially minded approach with a focus on client outcomes
- Ability to work autonomously while contributing positively to a close-knit team
- Admitted (or eligible for admission) to practise in Australia
