Senior Wills & Estates Lawyer role with high-net-worth clients, growing referrals, and potential equity.Specialist boutique estates firm
Our client is looking for a senior Wills & Estates lawyer who can operate with autonomy and become a key figure in the practice’s next phase of growth.
You will run matters end-to-end across the full suite of wills & estates, including:
- Estate planning: complex wills, testamentary trusts, asset protection, succession strategies, enduring powers of attorney/guardianship
- Estate administration: probate/letters of administration, complex distributions, advising executors and beneficiaries, disputes during administration
- Estate litigation: family provision claims, will disputes, contested estates, mediation preparation, strategy and advocacy with counsel where required
This is a role for someone who enjoys being client-facing, commercially minded, and trusted to steer files from initial advice through to resolution. There is also genuine scope to influence workflow, build capability in the team, and help unlock faster growth as the practice expands.
Importantly, our client is open to flexibility around where you work—Bayside-based, or helping establish a stronger presence closer to the city—depending on what best supports your practice and client servicing
On offer: Our client offers a compelling senior opportunity with real upside: - $160,000 + super (with scope above this for the right person, including Special Counsel/Salaried Partner level)
- 130,000 - $150,000 range for a dynamic 4-5 year PAE Estates Lawyer
- Potential equity pathway for a senior hire aligned with long-term growth
- Hybrid working with a 3/2 split (office/home)
- High-quality, referral-driven work and a steady pipeline that is increasing
- Flexibility to work from a Bayside office location (relocating within Bayside mid-year), or support the establishment of a CBD presence for the practice
- The chance to join our client’s team at a point where your impact will be seen, valued, and rewarded
About the Firm:Our client is a well-established, speciualist boutique Bayside Melbourne practice with a strong reputation in private client work. Their matters are predominantly referral-driven, with a loyal high-net-worth client base and a consistent pipeline that continues to grow.
The firm is investing in the right senior hire to support momentum, expand capability, and elevate service delivery across wills & estates.
Key Requirements: - Significant experience in Wills & Estates (estate planning, administration and/or litigation)
- Ability to manage files autonomously and provide clear, confident client advice
- Strong drafting skills (complex wills, trusts, estate documentation, court material where relevant)
- Experience working with high-net-worth or complex private clients (highly regarded)
- Comfortable building relationships with referrers and contributing to practice growth
- If you bring a partial client base or referrer network, this will be viewed very favourably
